Educational Qualification

For most posts, candidates must have passed 12th class or Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized board.

Some posts require additional qualifications, including:

• Typing speed for LDC, Lower Grade Clerk, Depot Clerk, Typist, and Typist-Cum-Clerk posts.
• Shorthand and typewriting speed for Stenographer posts.
• Science stream with Biology for Laboratory Assistant, Agriculture Field Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Assistant, and related posts.
• Diploma or certificate in the relevant trade for technical posts.
• Computer application certificate or diploma for computer-related and clerical posts.
• Physical endurance or swimming test for posts such as Forester, Veterinary Compounder, Tally Clerk, and Marine Radio Operator.

Andaman & Nicobar CHSL Age Limit 2026

The age limit will be calculated as on 05 July 2026.

• Candidates born on or after this date satisfy the upper age limit for their respective category.

Age relaxation is applicable for ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Central Government employees, DRM and contractual employees as per rules.
