SSC ASO LDCE Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must satisfy the departmental eligibility conditions prescribed by SSC.

For Central Secretariat Service (CSS)

Applicants should:

  • Be serving as Upper Division Grade Officers of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service.
  • Have completed at least six years of approved service as on 1 July 2025.

For Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)

Applicants should:

  • Be serving in the Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Grade.
  • Have successfully completed the prescribed mandatory training.
  • Possess six years of approved service as on 1 July 2025.

This examination is not open to direct applicants from the general public and is exclusively meant for eligible departmental employees.


SSC ASO LDCE Selection Process 2026

The recruitment process consists of two stages:

Part I - Computer-Based Examination (300 Marks)

  • Paper I
  • Paper II

Both papers carry 150 marks each.

Part II - APAR Evaluation (100 Marks)

Candidates qualifying the Computer-Based Examination will undergo evaluation of their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs).

Final merit will be prepared based on:
