MAHA TET is a qualifying exam and does not include direct vacancies. Candidates who qualify become eligible to apply for teacher recruitment in Maharashtra government schools.

Educational Qualification
For Paper I (Classes 1–5):
- 12th pass with minimum 50% marks
- D.El.Ed / D.Ed / B.El.Ed / B.Ed
For Paper II (Classes 6–8):
